Simone Ravicz
Dr. Simone Ravicz has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and an MBA in Marketing from UCLA. She received her BA in Psychology from Brown University in 1984. Since that time she has been involved in the field of mental health with stints in business and writing. She holds Diplomates in: Medical Psychology; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); and, Pain Management. She is certified in Sports Psychology and is a Certified practitioner in EMDR - a highly effective form of treatment for PTSD.
She has two informative books published: "High on Stress: A Woman's Guide to Optimizing the Stress in Her Life" and "Thriving with Your Autoimmune Disorder: A Woman's Mindbody Guide." She has published a number of articles in areas including: depression, anxiety, stress management, substance abuse, eating disorders, pain management and chronic illness, couples and family issues, couples challenges, communication, and time management. She has been interviewed by a number of publishers with inserts appearing in magazines such as Prevention, Self, and Working World. She has also been on several TV and radio spots.
In addition, she has had a private practice in Los Angeles and Palm Springs and has been a professor at the Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center. She combines a cognitive-behavioral approach with a mindbody emphasis to work with her clients in achieving positive, effective changes. She is located in Palm Springs, California and welcomes readers to her site!
